Tumbledown-Bay

TUMBLEDOWN BAY

A safe, sandy, swimming beach. Popular with families for a day picnic and with surfers. Approximately 25 minutes from Little River.

Follow the shingle road from the top of Kinloch Road.

One port-a-loo toilet.

MAGNET BAY

One of many popular surfing spots on the Peninsula, with a point break on a southerly swell. A stony beach. Access from Kinloch Road to Summit, turn right then left down Tumbledown Bay Road. Turn Right into Magnet Bay Road half way down. Sign Posted. Approximately 30 minutes from Little River. Rough gravel road from the summit.

You may see seals and birdlife. There is shingle road in through farm land. Nice to picnic, but not safe for swimming.

OKAINS BAY

Sandy, safe-swimming beach. Camping ground, lagoon, fishing and walks. 45 mins drive from Little River.

Hickory-Bay-2

HICKORY BAY

An exposed bay that has quite reliable surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the north. Wind swells and ground swells in equal measure and the best swell direction is from the southwest. Waves of the beach break are left and right. It is sometimes crowded here. Take care of rips and rocks. 1 hours drive from Little River.

Raupo-Bay

LITTLE AKALOA BAY

A lovely picnic spot on the grass under the trees. The Beach is safe for swimming and fishing off the wharf. St Lukes Anglican Historic Church and walks up the hill. Toilets. 45 mins from Little River

Le_Bons_Bay_beach_Le_Bons_Bay

LE BONS BAY

Lovely sandy beach safe for swimming. A large domain at the end of the beach road is good for a picnic.  Tennis courts, Picnic tables, toilets. 1 hour drive from Little River.
