Tuesdays, fortnightly, 6pm at Trinity Church Hall, Akaroa
This is a new community initiative offering a safe, supportive, and confidential space for locals dealing with grief, addiction, mental health challenges, loneliness, family difficulties, or other tough periods – made harder by rural isolation and limited nearby support.
Led by a team combining professional, community, and lived experience (Geoff Bristowe, Howard Wilson, Otto Roessink, Phil Podmore, Mark Thomson, Blake Thomson, Kerry Little, and Michelle Thompson), it’s open to anyone – whether struggling themselves, supporting someone else, or just wanting connection.
No labels, diagnoses, or need to share your story required; people can talk, listen, have a cup of tea, or bring a buddy. All are welcome.
